3. Theme: “Connecting Research, Policy, and Practice in Mathematics
Education: Challenges and Successes" [Joyce Mgombelo, Chris
Suurtamm]
This session will discuss the U.S. National Mathematics Advisory
Panel Report and the reaction of the mathematics educational research
community to the report. There will also be a panel discussion of
the connections between research, policy, and practice in the Ontario
context.

The discussion of the research community reaction will be drawn
from Volume 37, Issue number 9 of the journal Educational Researcher.
