              2. The equivalence problem of E. Cartan, illustrated by control systems and mechanical systems.
              3. Lifting, principal components, Lie algebra compatible absorption, reduction of structure groups.
              4. Involutive systems and prolongation, outline of solutions to illustrative problems.
