This series of weekend workshops has entered it’s 16th year in 2018, originally inaugurated in 2003 by James D. Lewis (Alberta), Stefan M¨uller-Stach (McMaster, now at Mainz, Germany) and Noriko Yui (Queen’s). Up to and including it’s 14th year, this became a biannual event at Fields Institute with a meeting in the Fall (October or November), followed by a meeting in the Spring (March or April). The biannual workshop has been supported by the Fields Institute to support young participants. The workshop is organized by Noriko Yui and James D. Lewis. In the 15th year we instead offered a four day workshop, instead of the usual biannual event, and added two accomplished co-organizers, Matt Kerr (WUSTL) and Gregory Pearlstein (Texas A&M). Besides the input of external funding, the four-day annual workshop model also provides more time for collaborations.
