Western Mathematics Exposition Competition
Description
Teams of 2-3 high school students collaborate under the guidance of a mentor, which can be a high school teacher or senior undergraduate, exploring topics related to the announced themes. To join the competition, teams must create a math poster, video, or an artifact. These submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges, consisting of Western University graduate students and faculty members, based on predetermined judging criteria.
The culmination of the competition will be the Prize Night, where all participants and their families are invited to Western University for an Award Ceremony. During the ceremony, the works will be showcased, and attendees will have the opportunity to interact with mathematics professors and graduate students. The winners will be publicly recognized, receiving certificates, medals, and monetary prizes for their outstanding achievements.
