The two-week summer school will be valuable for students learning homotopy theory, symplectic geometry, and applications of Floer theory to low-dimensional topology. One goal of the summer school is to increase the number of researchers familiar with the techniques and problems in both modern homotopy theory and symplectic geometry, but the school will also be useful to students interested only in homotopy theory or only in Floer theory.
