This is a major international conference on operator algebras and operator theory. The Canadian Operator Symposium (COSy) was founded by Israel Halperin in the early 1970’s, the 2015 meeting will be the 43rd event.
In 2015, George Elliott will be celebrating his 70th birthday. This meeting is dedicated to George and his legacy to the field.

We hope to be able to provide some support for graduate students, post docs and junior faculty, depending on our funding. Further details will be provided later.
More detailed information about travel will be available later. However, most people who are flying should fly to the Toronto International Airport (YYZ). This is a little over an hour’s drive from Waterloo. There is a shuttle service.
People who can fly through Chicago can take an American Airline flight to the Kitchener-Waterloo Airport (YKF); and people flying through Calgary can take a WestJet flight into the Kitchener-Waterloo Airport. This is about a 25 minute drive from the University.
