Bio: Henry Tam has been a highschool math teacher with the Toronto District School Board for over 25 years (he has a pin to prove it!). During that time he has taught at schools ranging from technical institutes to more academic collegiates. Currently he is the Assistant Curriculum leader at Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate with a highly Asian population that loves math. If you are puzzle lover you will notice that his name: H. TAM spells math backwards and in many ways that is how he fell into a career in math education. He is passionate about math as a human enterprise and is always seeking ways to help students to see the math that they are doing in the context of both the history and culture from which it arose.
