Abstract:
1.2B people in the world live without electricity. How can we address this problem? I will present work we are doing in a remote village in the Philippines as an example of how we can bring technology to solve problems in low resource communities. The solution involves consideration of social, cultural, geographical, political and economic factors, in addition to technology.
