Enacting Thinking Classrooms in Academic and Applied Programs
Vertical non-permanent surfaces and a thinking classroom immediately engage students and forever impact a teacher’s approach to teaching. This talk will discuss the ups and downs of implementation of such a class at both the academic and applied levels as well as the immediate results.
Bio:
Suzanne Papuga is a graduate from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science. Following a career in Maintenance Management Software and a period as a stay-at-home mom, she became a teacher in 2005. Since then, she has taught mathematics to students from grades 7 through 12 at applied, academic, college and university levels.
