Introduction to Borel-Weil-Bott on Flag Varieties

Abstract:
In characteristic 0 the Borel-Weil-Bott theorem allows one to compute the cohomology of homogeneous vector bundles on flag varieties using combinatorics related to partitions. I will introduce the theory and describe how Costa's and Miró-Roig use these ideas to study ACM vector bundles on Grassmannians.
