K-theory of C*- algebras associated to Hilbert manifolds and applications

Abstract:
I will introduce a C∗-algebra associated to Hilbert manifolds and discuss its applications to the Novikov conjecture for a certain diffeomorphism group. This is joint work with Jianchao Wu and Erik Guentner.
