Economics Meets the Mathematical Sciences Workshop
Description
This three-day workshop aims to bring together thought leaders from economics and the mathematical sciences to exchange perspectives and highlight some of the challenges and the progress taking place at the interface between these two disciplines. Topics will include matching problems, auction theory, mechanism and information design, bayesian persuasion, mean-field games, dynamic decisions, informational asymmetry, hedonic pricing and the managing of uncertainty and risk. The mathematical theory of optimal transportation and its emerging relevance to a number of these questions will be among the focal themes.
