Graduate Summer School on Homological Algebra of Mirror Symmetry
Description

This program gives an introduction to Homological Mirror Symmetry (HMS) taught by student participants. We will begin with an overview of the fundamental ideas in physics and category theory, move on to ideas and constructions in algebraic geometry and symplectic geometry, and, finally, discuss their relationship through Homological Mirror Symmetry. The precise curriculum will be decided after the participants have been selected. Participants are expected to prepare a 1-hour lecture and latexed notes under the guidance of Matthew Ballard and Ailsa Keating. Notes will be developed and submitted for publication in a proceedings volume to follow the program. The selection of participants will be made with a careful eye towards creating a diverse environment and developing good mathematical communicators.
