Winter School: Shocks and Implosions in Fluids
Description
The main topics of this winter school will be the formation of implosion singularities in compressible fluids from smooth initial data, as well as inviscid limits for hyperbolic conservation laws with shock singularities. In particular, we will cover the works of [Cao-Labora, Gómez-Serrano, Shi, Staffilani, 2023] and [Anderson, Chaturvedi, Graham, 2025].
Lecturers:
- Jia Shi (MIT), Cole Graham (UW Madison).
