Research in Geometric Analysis requires a lot of background knowledge to get started in, including partial differential equations and functional analysis, differential geometry, algebraic topology, and often also employs tools and techniques from algebraic geometry, especially in the context of Kahler and Calabi-Yau geometries. The aim of this summer school is to prepare the participants for the rest of the program and to give them a first-rate head-start for their future research careers.
