Fields Institute Announces Postdoctoral Fellowship Winner Taboka Prince Chalebgwa
Fields-AIMS-Perimeter Africa Postdoctoral Fellowship (2019-2020)

TORONTO, ON - February 27, 2019: Taboka Prince Chalebgwa as part of the Fields-AIMS-Perimeter Africa Postdoctoral Fellowship for the 2019-20 academic year. Presently a final year Ph.D. candidate at Stellenbosch University, Taboka’s current research focuses on Nevanlinna Theory and algebraic values of meromorphic functions. The Fields Institute will host Taboka starting in July 2019, providing support and a stimulating environment.
Awarded jointly, the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, and Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics annually invite applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship. This fellowship is a unique position offered to new and recent PhDs who are African Nationals working in the areas of mathematical sciences or fundamental theoretical physics. It is intended to support young researchers who have a commitment to advance science in Africa.
