Abstract:
After a quick introduction to graded manifolds via examples, I will explain how to obtain Chern-Simons theory in the classical Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism as a mapping space. However, if our source has a boundary, the usual procedure needs to be modified by adding a boundary condition, and we will discuss boundary conditions, topological and non-topological, relevant to the Chern-Simons theory.
