Abstract:
This lecture shall treat more specific themes, object also of recent research. We shall recall results which prove bounded height for the set of specializations on toric or abelian schemes which produce `degenerate' relations of given sections, in the sense that these relations do not hold generically. We shall illustrate some classical conclusions and also more recent ones, together with applications to Diophantine Equations and other issues.
