Airborne emissions have traditionally been a part of human settlements, but does this need to be the inevitable case? Can a transition to smart villages promote a reduction in emissions along with their impacts on air quality, health and climate? This talk will reflect on the couplings between air quality and smart villages to envision what synergies may be possible for different smart village scenarios.
