The Chern-Ricci flow is a parabolic flow of Hermitian metrics on a complex manifold. It coincides with the Ricci flow when the initial metric is Kahler. I will give an introduction to this flow and describe some of its properties and known behaviors. There will be a particular focus on manifolds of complex dimension two. I will also describe some open problems.
