Abstract:
Integrodifference equations (IDEs) are discrete-time models which I talk about the case that the domain is a patchy landscape with bias at interfaces. The habitat quality in each patch is different from the other patches, and the non trivial equilibrium solution of the IDE is a piecewise continuous function.
I present an approximation of the equilibrium population, in terms of dispersal contribution function, which is the general form of the dispersal success approximation of Van Kirk and Lewis 1997.
