Abstract:
Deletion and contraction are basic operations reduce complicated graphs to simpler ones. I will discuss deletion and contraction relations for hypertoric varieties, touching on joint work with Zsuzsana Dancso and Vivek Shende on the one hand and Michael Groechenig on the other.
