In this course, I hope to describe some common tools used when understanding the long time behavior of solutions to hyperbolic PDEs. The goal will be to introduce some ideas in as simple a setting as possible, and to then assemble them together for specific applications. The topics covered will include weighted energy estimates, weighted Sobolev inequalities, integrated decay estimates, nonlinear structure, and others as time permits.
