Abstract:
In these three lectures we aim to study the Euler equations in cosmological settings, where some of the key questions concern structure formation and (in)stability of a coupled fluid-gravity nonlinear PDE system. We aim to present an introduction to cosmological spacetimes, the Jeans instability, the dynamics of the Einstein—Euler equations in accelerated settings and the development of shocks for a relativistic fluid in a decelerated cosmological setting.
