Abstract:
Motivic homotopy theory is a homotopy theory for smooth algebraic varieties. We will give a brief introduction to motivic homotopy theory and show how we can define polyhedral products in the motivic homotopy category. We will then introduce a motivic refinement of moment-angle complexes and show how a generalized version of the suspension splitting of polyhedral products by Bahri, Bendersky, Cohen, and Gitler allows us to do various computations with motivic polyhedral products.
