Abstract:
In this talk I will discuss the prospects for simulation of fluid mechanics on quantum computers using the lattice Boltzmann method. I will discuss the origin of the LB method and its connection to the fundamental problems of irreversibility and nonlinearity that all quantum algorithms for fluid mechanics must face.
