Canadian Operator Symposium 2023 (COsy 2023)
Description
The Canadian Operator Symposium( COSy) was established in 1972 by Israel Halperin as a conference focused on operator algebras and applications. COSy quickly grew into, and remains today, the main annual meeting for Operator Theory in Canada with a global reach. Operator Theory is a well-established and highly-active field of research which has long been a pillar of Canadian mathematics. A huge variety of mathematical disciplines overlap or make critical use of Operator Theory - Harmonic Analysis, Mathematical Physics, Dynamical Systems, Number Theory and Geometry, to name just a few. As a meeting point of so many subjects, Operator Theory is by nature an interdisciplinary pursuit. Accordingly, Canada's long-recognized status as a stronghold for Operator Theory has had an outsized effect on the general health of Canadian mathematics and greatly bolstered its international reputation.
